Rivington Street Festival

Set in the heart of Shoreditch is Rivington Street - a dynamic and ‘taste making’ area. The road lined with bars, clubs, cafes, niche fashion boutiques and galleries were the setting Onit events to programme Rivington Street Festival.

In conjunction with Hackney Council regeneration department and the surrounding creative community, Onit Events conceptualized, branded, launched, licensed, and programmed this event.

Demand for such an event had been brewing for some years and after the instruction, we sat down and devised the concept and execution. Rivington Street Festival is a music open day curated to showcase this special road. The venues and galleries open their doors to the local community with a series of music and artistic programming, showcasing the creative ‘DNA’ of the area.

The event, one day long, incorporates two road closures, nine venues and two open-air stages, creating a 'real' street party and multi-attraction atmosphere. The limited capacity made this event a juxtaposition of block party and exhibition, with over 10,000 people in attendance.
